Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) has just published new data on military spending for the year 2023, and the figures show an impressive increase: recent conflicts and tensions around the world have led to a 6.8% growth over last year, leading to a total of $2.44 trillion in military spending. We must invest in peace, justice, and freedom not war.
