Voices of Refugee Women

Every year we hold a seminar in the Autumn which all UK WILPF members are invited to, as well as our friends from other organisations and anyone else interested in our work. The theme of 2017’s Seminar was Voices of Refugee Women, and our aim was to raise awareness and show solidarity with refugee women.

From the success of 2017’s Seminar, we hope to continue highlighting what life really is like for refugee women here in the UK. You can see our myth busting facts which we shared in the lead up to the day here. We also received a grant to create a booklet detailing the stories of some refugee women. This was submitted to CEDAW’s 2017 Shadow Report on England at the end of February 2018 as evidence.
